Prisoned in My Keep
The dungeon's dampness/mouldy air/mustiness pressed against me, a constant reminder of my imprisonment/confinement/captivity. Trapped Within My Own Walls: A Home Confinement Tale
The borders of my home used to feel like a refuge. Now they smother, a constant indication of my confined existence. Days run into each other, marked only by the chime of the clock and the heavy weight in my chest. Every sound from outside is a painful echo of the world beyond.
I wander through these confined rooms, searching for some glimpse of escape. The rays that once fell across my floor now seem distant, and the stillness is deafening.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we knew it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a shadow of its former self. We are now stuck within the limits of our homes, forced to conform to a new normal. The days run together, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, binging media, and cooking. We yearn for the simple activities that were once granted for granted: a hike in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a talk without a screen separating us.
This new world has forced challenges, but it has also revealed unexpected capacities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more creative, and more grateful for the little things in life. As we navigate this unknown territory, we must remain hopeful that brighter days are near.
Just Beyond the Six-Foot Mark
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels overwhelming. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. The constant ticking of time serves as a reminder that you're imprisoned.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Confined Liberation
The allure of freedom can be an enticing force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to confinement. This manifests when the very notion of freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a tool for control and suppression.
Genuine freedom entails not only the absence with external constraints but also the nurturing of internal strength. When this inner core is lacking, even within a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the restrictions of their own thoughts.
Ultimately, the true measure of freedom lies in our ability to transcend the obstacles that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
